program description

It takes us so long to see where we are and even longer to see who we are, said John O’Donohue. But when your soul awakens, you begin to truly inherit your life. You leave the kingdom of fake surfaces, repetitive tasks and weary roles and slip deeper into the true adventure of who you are and who you are called to become.

That is when you realize how precious your time here is. You are no longer willing to squander your essence on undertakings that do not nourish your true self. You want your work to become an expression of your gift. You want your God to be wild and to call you to where your destiny awaits.

On this journey, you begin to see how the sides of your heart that seemed awkward, contradictory, and uneven are the plasces where the treasure lies hidden. You begin to become true to yourself.

presenter bio
John O’Donohue was an Irish poet and philosopher who lived in the solitude of a cottage in the West of Ireland. His writings and seminars drew us into intimate conversation with neglected or unknown regions of the soul. Tragically, weeks after his Being In Concert event John left us, passing in his sleep. The untimeliness of his passing reminds us of the wisdom of the words he spoke.

He was the author of Anam Cara, Eternal Echoes, Wisdom from the Celtic World, and Beauty.Through them, John continues to speak to us.
